Cartoonist Yoon Tae-ho caught everyone’s attention by revealing the behind-the-scenes story of the 2015 film ‘Inside Men’. Appearing on the Boseong episode of TV Chosun’s ‘Huh Young-man’s Food Travel’ aired on the 10th, Yoon showed off his honest wit while sharing various anecdotes about his representative works, including ‘Misaeng’, ‘Pine’, and ‘Inside Men’.

During the broadcast, Huh Young-man asked his former student, Yoon Tae-ho, how he felt during the rights contract for the movie ‘Inside Men’. Yoon gave an unexpected answer, revealing that the series had actually been discontinued at the time. He recalled, “When someone came to buy the movie rights, I actually didn’t want to sell them. I intentionally asked for a very high price to reject them, but I was flustered when the other side accepted it immediately.”

He also shared his bewilderment upon hearing the news of the star-studded cast. Yoon said, “When I first heard that Lee Byung-hun had confirmed his appearance, I didn’t believe it. I even asked them not to lie to me.” He added, causing laughter, “Since the content of my comic is quite rough and harsh, I never expected an actor like Lee Byung-hun to appear in it.”

Yoon also mentioned the character of Director Cho, who left a strong impression in the film. Regarding the cruel scene where instructions are given to mutilate a body, he noted, “That was the part I agonized over most sensitively with the director.” He highly praised actor Cho Woo-jin, stating, “Thanks to actor Cho Woo-jin handling the role so wonderfully, a legendary scene was born.”

The movie ‘Inside Men’ is a noir piece featuring a stellar cast including Lee Byung-hun, Cho Seung-woo, and Baek Yoon-sik. It became a huge hit by dealing with a slush fund scandal involving a political fixer, a prosecutor, and a conglomerate. Through this broadcast, Yoon Tae-ho shared his life and philosophy as a cartoonist, openly revealing everything from the background of the work’s creation to the behind-the-scenes stories of the casting.
