Ha Won-mi, wife of former baseball star Choo Shin-soo, recently shared why she traded in her luxury supercar for a compact car.
On May 11, a video titled “My friend Ha Won-mi who sold her Bentley and bought a Mini” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘I am Kim Young-kwang’.
Explaining the change, Ha Won-mi said, “Actually, the Bentley belonged to my husband. I had a Maybach, but I’m not really the type to be greedy about cars.” She added, “The previous cars were too big, making it hard to park in Gangnam. In the end, we got rid of the Bentley, I gave my Maybach to my husband, and I chose a small car.”
While heading out in her new ride with Kim Young-kwang, Ha Won-mi shared a funny story. She confessed, “I never had an accident while driving the Maybach in the US, but I actually hit a wall while parking this small car!”
Ha Won-mi also pointed out how people’s reactions on the road changed depending on the car. She honestly shared, “When I drove the Maybach in Korea, other cars would let me in easily, but after switching to this car, they don’t let me in no matter how much I use my blinker.”
Ha Won-mi married Choo Shin-soo in 2004 and has two sons and one daughter. She is currently making headlines for selling her supercar, worth around 300 million won, for a more practical small car.
