Episode 40 of E Channel’s original web variety show ‘Hyungsuda 2’ will air on May 15 at 7 PM via the YouTube channel ‘Hyungsuda,’ featuring Kim Nam-il and Japanese actress Fujii Mina!
In this episode, the MCs and Kim Nam-il visit Tokyo, Japan, where they meet up with Fujii Mina at one of the city’s oldest izakayas.
For the ‘Today’s Death Row Prisoner’ segment, the show tackles the Takahiro Shiraishi case that sent shockwaves through Japanese society. Born in 1990, Shiraishi was executed in 2025. Kwon Il-yong shared the gravity of the situation, stating, “I was also very shocked.”
The case kicked off in 2017 when a man reported his sister missing, fearing she had been taken by a stranger. The sister had vanished after chatting with a suspicious account on Twitter the previous day.
The account lured victims by posting messages like, “I want to be a source of strength for those who are depressed and struggling. Please feel free to DM me.” It was later revealed that 20 days before the report, the account had sent her a chilling message: “Shall I prepare for you to be able to die?”
Following the investigation, the account owner was identified as Takahiro Shiraishi, a resident of Kanagawa Prefecture near Tokyo. At the time, he was on probation for charges of connecting women to prostitution via Twitter.
Detectives discovered suspicious odors, mysterious boxes, and women’s shoes at Shiraishi’s home. When asked about the missing person, he pointed to a cooler, where a human skull was found, leaving everyone in shock.
A total of eight coolers were found in the house, containing several skulls and over 240 bone fragments.
