‘Wild Thing’ is expected to bring guaranteed fun to theaters this summer with non-stop laughter and unexpected twists. The film is a collaboration between About Film, the production company behind the representative Korean comedy ‘Extreme Job’ which drew 16.26 million viewers, and Director Son Jae Gon, who has built a unique comedy world with ‘Haechi-ji-anha’.
Gang Dong Won, Um Tae Goo, and Park Ji Hyun team up as ‘Triangle’, a co-ed dance group following in the footsteps of Ssak3 and All Day Project, boasting fantastic chemistry. First, Korea’s representative actor Gang Dong Won takes on the role of ‘Hyun Woo’, the leader and dance machine of ‘Triangle’, leading the team with his unrivaled aura and manhwa-like visuals.
The powerful and skilled actor Um Tae Goo plays ‘Sang Goo’, the maknae and storm-like rapper of ‘Triangle’ who shows off bold swag. ‘Wonderful New World’ is a romantic comedy drama about the explosive, war-like romance between Shin Seo Ri (played by Lim Ji Yeon), an unknown actress who becomes “vicious” after being possessed by the soul of a legendary Joseon villainess, and Cha Se Gye (played by Heo Nam Jun), a ruthless chaebol known as a monster of capitalism. The project brings together Director Han Tae Seop, who directed ‘Stove League’ and ‘Cheer Up’, and rookie writer Kang Hyun Joo. The first romantic pairing of trusted actors Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun is already drawing intense interest.
Lim Ji Yeon plays Shin Seo Ri, an unknown Korean actress possessed by the legendary Joseon villainess ‘Kang Dan Sim’. She breathes life into the character by perfectly portraying the lovely yet survival-driven venom of a Joseon villainess suddenly dropped into modern Korea. Heo Nam Jun transforms into ‘Cha Se Gye’, the sole heir of the prominent Chail Group. He is expected to captivate viewers by charmingly depicting the unexpected side of a so-called “power-tripping prince” who becomes completely helpless in front of Shin Seo Ri.
Jang Seung Jo plays ‘Choi Moon Do’, Cha Se Gye’s fifth-degree cousin, adding tension by delicately expressing a cold duality, hiding ambition beneath a gentle and mild exterior. Kim Min Seok appears as ‘Baek Kwang Nam’, a job seeker who forms a connection with Shin Seo Ri by chance, adding humor through relatable acting. Lee Se Hee takes on the role of ‘Yoon Ji Hyo’, a top star and rival to Shin Seo Ri, creating a fierce enemy chemistry with Lim Ji Yeon.
