Opening on June 3, ‘Wild Thing’ is a comedy about ‘Triangle,’ a three-member co-ed dance group that once dominated the music scene but disbanded overnight after an unexpected incident. Now, they are taking a reckless leap to seize a chance at a comeback after 20 long years!
The newly released ‘Big Project of the Year’ timeline video gives us a real look at ‘Triangle’—featuring dance machine leader Hyun-woo (Gang Dong-won), storm rapper maknae Sang-gu (Um Tae-gu), and absolute charm center Do-mi (Park Ji-hyun). From their formation and choreography practice to recording sessions and stage appearances, the video captures all the cheerful energy. We see them syncing their moves, cheering each other on, getting flustered by mistakes, and even humming to themselves. The actors’ serious approach to monitoring their performances adds a level of realism that makes them look like actual idols!

Adding to the fun is the showdown between ‘Triangle,’ who became candidates for first place upon releasing their second album, and ballad prince Seong-gon (Oh Jung-se), who holds the unprecedented record of being in second place for 38 consecutive weeks. Their clash, combined with the unique characters, is sure to bring plenty of laughs.
Before this, ‘Wild Thing’ sparked explosive reactions by releasing character posters and a concept trailer, and even operating a real SNS account for the group ‘Triangle.’ A sneak peek of their debut song ‘Love Is’—which boasts visuals and quality on par with real singers—became a hot topic across online communities and social media, and the group’s name was even added to Namuwiki!
