Mnet announced on the 14th that global applications for ‘Girls Planet 2 (working title)’ are flooding in, extending beyond Asia to the Americas and Europe.

‘Girls Planet 2’ officially launched and began recruiting on the 1st. With the ‘Planet’ survival series having already produced groups like Kep1er, ZEROBASEONE, and ALPHA DRIVE ONE, fans are eagerly anticipating the next group to emerge from this new series.

In just about ten days, the number of applicants for ‘Girls Planet 2’ has already surpassed the cumulative total from the seven-month global recruitment period for ‘Boys 2 Planet’.

Notably, applicants from North and Latin America account for approximately 30% of the total. Additionally, over 130 domestic agencies have expressed strong interest in participating in ‘Girls Planet 2’.

Auditions will be conducted via online applications, on-site auditions at ‘KCON JAPAN 2026’ and ‘KCON LA 2026’, as well as auditions in major hub regions.

The on-site auditions at ‘KCON JAPAN 2026’, held from the 8th to the 10th, saw a higher-than-expected turnout, leading organizers to expand the judging area. A special audition is also planned for ‘KCON LA 2026’ this August, which is expected to draw significant attention.

Meanwhile, ‘Girls Planet 2’ aims to begin broadcasting in 2027.
