Go Doo-shim Praises Choi Bool-am’s True Character: “Your Fundamental Nature Cannot Be Hidden”

Go Doo-shim Praises Choi Bool-am's True Character:

Actress Go Doo-shim spoke about the true nature of actor Choi Bool-am, who has become known as the “Nation’s Father.”

The MBC Family Month special documentary “Paha, It’s Choi Bool-am,” which aired on May 12, shared the story of Choi Bool-am, who portrayed numerous father figures throughout his career despite the absence of his own father.

Go Doo-shim, who worked closely with Choi Bool-am in “Country Diaries,” recalled, “We lived as father-in-law and daughter-in-law for 22 years. When I think of ‘Choi Bool-am,’ I imagine a father who is rustic and earthy, like a simple earthenware pot, even just sitting in a corner.” She added, “When he sat hunched over in an undershirt, worrying about his family, he seemed like a father who would listen to everything.”

Go Doo-shim further praised Choi Bool-am’s innate character, stating, “I believe he started and lived his life with a clear philosophy of what it means to be a father. No matter how much of a performer or actor someone is, their fundamental character cannot be hidden.”
