Actor Go Soo is returning to the big screen in the movie ‘Uncle’!
On the 15th, his agency BH Entertainment confirmed to MHN Sports, “It is true that he is in a project. Go Soo is currently filming.”
In ‘Uncle’, Go Soo plays Si-hyeok, a man who has hit rock bottom and spent his life drifting in and out of prison. After a chance accident, he finds himself at an orphanage called ‘Mangsa-won’. The story follows his transformation as he faces off against truly evil people to protect the orphanage family. The film is highly anticipated as the new work of Director Kim Hyung-hyup, known for ‘Daddy’s Daughter’ and ‘God’s Orchestra’.
Go Soo’s character, Si-hyeok, steals a car and a bag from a criminal organization after being released from prison, which leads him to Mangsa-won. While he initially looks for a way to escape, he gradually grows fond of the residents and decides to become their protector.
Go Soo also previously shared the news that he will make a special appearance in ‘Gunche’, a new film by Director Yeon Sang-ho. ‘Gunche’ depicts survivors trapped in a building during a mysterious infection outbreak, fighting against infected beings that evolve in unpredictable ways.
Beyond ‘Gunche’, he is set to appear in the SBS drama ‘Nine to Six’, scheduled to air in the second half of the year. The drama tells the story of a woman who put her love life on hold for her career, and her growth and change after meeting a delicate and warm man. It is a relatable story where various characters’ lives become each other’s past and future.
In the drama, Go Soo plays Park Hyun-tae, the head of the US headquarters for Zeus Motors. With a polished appearance and a smart, gentle personality, he is the ideal man who believes being alone is more comfortable in both work and life. However, his perspective changes after meeting Park Min-young (Kang Yi-ji).
Go Soo, who married his non-celebrity wife in 2012, has two sons and one daughter. He is gearing up for a busy schedule across both movies and dramas, leaving fans excited for his upcoming roles.
