Ha Hyun-woo, the powerhouse vocalist of the band Guckkasten, is once again showing off his “Music Captain” side.
In the 7th episode of JTBC’s ‘Hidden Singer 8’ airing on the 12th, Guckkasten’s Ha Hyun-woo, known as the “Pride of K-Rock,” will appear as the original singer.
Ha Hyun-woo made a confident entrance, stating, “I’ve never felt as relaxed as I do today while singing on a show.” He confessed that he had previously declined appearances on ‘Hidden Singer’ because he was worried his voice would be too easily recognized. He explained that he decided to join ‘Hidden Singer 8’ to simply have some lighthearted fun with his fans.
When MC Jun Hyun-moo warned him that the impersonators are not easy opponents, Ha Hyun-woo boldly claimed, “My vocal tone cannot be copied.”
Matching Ha Hyun-woo’s high energy, the celebrity judging panel also expressed confidence in recognizing his voice, mentioning their own musical lives. In particular, if they fail to identify his voice, Park Wan-kyu will stop all activities for a month, and Yangpa will change her stage name to ‘Jjokpa,’ drawing intense interest in whether the two can protect their musical careers.
Meanwhile, Jung Sung-ho, known as the master of impressions, shared why he couldn’t mimic Ha Hyun-woo, saying, “I felt like I would lose my voice if I tried to copy him.” After seeing the song for Round 1, he remarked, “This will cause vocal nodules,” sparking curiosity about which song made even Jung Sung-ho hesitate.
Meanwhile, actress Cha Chung-hwa, who gave a great performance in the hit drama ‘Itaewon Class,’ confessed her deep love for ‘Hidden Singer’ and cheered as soon as she heard a certain song. Expectations are rising as Ha Hyun-woo and the impersonators are set to have a fierce battle with the representative OST from ‘Itaewon Class,’ ‘Stone.’
Ha Hyun-woo previously caused a syndrome in 2016 on ‘King of Mask Singer,’ where he appeared under the pseudonym ‘Our Neighborhood Music Captain’ and became the first-ever 9-time consecutive winner.
