In a shocking twist, Ham Eun-jung’s character was kidnapped by Park Gun-il’s character right in the middle of her wedding to Yoon Sun-woo’s character!
The May 8th episode of MBC’s daily drama ‘The First Man’ showed Ma Seo-rin (played by Ham Eun-jung) consumed by jealousy towards Oh Jang-mi (also played by Ham Eun-jung).
Meanwhile, Chairman Ma (Lee Hyo-jung) received shocking news from his sister-in-law: his daughter, Eun-hye, is alive! However, her whereabouts remain a mystery. His sister-in-law explained, “I met the housekeeper who took Eun-hye. She confirmed that Eun-hye did not die back then.”
It was revealed that the housekeeper had sold Eun-hye to a broker. Later, while being chased by the police with two children, the broker abandoned Eun-hye somewhere. The child who died was not Eun-hye, but another child the broker had.

Chairman Ma was overcome with emotion, shedding tears as he lamented, “My sin is immense. I must find her no matter what. My poor, precious child. To have left my daughter alone in the world for so many years…” He continued, “If only I hadn’t gone bankrupt… It’s all my fault. I’m so sorry,” as he held his sister-in-law’s hand and they wept together.
Misunderstanding the emotional reunion, Yeom San-wol (Kim Sun-hye) appeared heavily intoxicated, drunkenly asking, “Are you two really that close?” When Chairman Ma ordered her to leave, Yeom San-wol defiantly declared, “I’m not going anywhere!” before ultimately being dragged out by Yang Geum-soon (Ahn Ju-am).
Amidst all this, Ma Seo-rin showed up at Kang Jun-ho (Park Gun-il)’s office, much to his annoyance. “Are we doing this again?” he groaned. Ma Seo-rin insisted they were alike, but Kang Jun-ho sharply disagreed, stressing, “If you had arrived just 30 minutes later, I would have been married.” Ma Seo-rin then tried to tempt him, saying, “What’s love when you can have Dream?” suggesting she could fulfill his ambitions. But Kang Jun-ho boldly declared, “I can still have Dream even if I choose Oh Jang-mi. I’m going to have both Oh Jang-mi and Dream!”

Ma Seo-rin, in a fit of rage, slapped Oh Jang-mi on both cheeks, declaring, “I regret ever meeting you!” Oh Jang-mi apologized, pleading, “I’m sorry. But you have absolutely nothing to lose. I promise I will never take what’s yours,” and revealed her intention to marry Kang Baek-ho.
Following this, Oh Jang-mi and Kang Baek-ho held their own intimate wedding ceremony. Kang Baek-ho sweetly promised, “I will be a sturdy tree my woman can always lean on,” while Oh Jang-mi vowed, “I will always be on your side, no matter what happens.” The loving couple exchanged rings and even serenaded each other.
Kang Jun-ho soon learned about the wedding from Jin Hong-ju (Kim Min-seol) and immediately rushed to the scene. He violently pulled Oh Jang-mi away, threatening her, “Come out quietly, or I might just kill Baek-ho!” After brutally assaulting Kang Baek-ho, Kang Jun-ho forcibly dragged Oh Jang-mi into a car and sped away, leaving a collapsed Kang Baek-ho behind.
