Actress Han Sun-hwa shared some behind-the-scenes stories from the drama ‘Work Later, Drink Now,’ the project that proved her potential as an actress.
On the May 11 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s ‘Hope Song at Noon,’ Han Sun-hwa stepped in as a special DJ while Kim Shin-young was away on a business trip. Director Kim Min-ha and actress Lee Yeoreum (WJSN Yeoreum) joined the show as guests.
Han Sun-hwa, who plays the passionate student teacher Kang Eun-kyung in the movie ‘Student Teaching Practice,’ spent time chatting with Director Kim Min-ha and Lee Yeoreum just two days before the film’s release.

Han Sun-hwa asked Director Kim Min-ha, “I play a student teacher representing the MZ generation, but I’m not actually that ‘MZ.’ The PD told me a few things earlier, but Director, do I seem like an MZ to you?”
Kim Min-ha replied, “Actually, Sun-hwa and I are the same age. When we were younger, people called us the ‘new generation.’ But now that we’re in our 30s, we fall into the MZ range, so we’ve become MZ,” admitting that there’s still a generation gap even within the MZ category.
Kim Min-ha added, “Our generation, and especially Sun-hwa, seems to have a depth that can encompass all generations.” Han Sun-hwa playfully asked, “So I’m not MZ?” which sparked laughter.

Han Sun-hwa expressed her love for the movie ‘Student Teaching Practice,’ describing it as a “bundle of hope.” She shared her gratitude for Director Kim Min-ha, saying, “I feel like I’m receiving a lot of positive energy while filming with Director Kim Min-ha. Meeting the director seems to have turned everything into hope.”
Director Kim Min-ha also expressed her feelings toward Han Sun-hwa, who readily agreed to appear in the film, saying, “The moment actress Sun-hwa said she would do the project, I saw hope. I felt that ‘this movie will work.'”

Han Sun-hwa and Lee Yeoreum revealed that they struggled during the filming of ‘Student Teaching Practice’ due to difficult concepts and lines. Lee Yeoreum said, “There were many unusual lines. I wondered, ‘Can I do this?’ but the director showed me many examples, so I thought, ‘I should trust the director and go for it.'”
Mentioning her representative work, the TVING drama ‘Work Later, Drink Now,’ Han Sun-hwa confessed, “When I was acting as Ji-yeon in ‘Work Later, Drink Now,’ I had a strong desire to bring the character to life well. I felt I had to make it look natural. So, while it may have looked fun to viewers, it was actually very difficult acting for us.”
