Actress Han Ye-ri is making headlines for her bold and confident response to the negative comments surrounding her dress at a recent awards ceremony.
On the 14th, Han Ye-ri took a direct approach on her social media, posting, “I don’t usually search for things, so I only just found out,” accompanied by hashtags like #BaeksangArtsAwards and #Worst. She emphasized, “No matter what anyone says, my dress looked the prettiest to me,” adding, “I simply chose to wear what I wanted to wear rather than worrying about how others saw me.”

Previously, on the 8th, Han Ye-ri graced the red carpet of the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. She turned heads with a striking white halter-neck dress featuring a large floral accent on the chest, paired with a bold short haircut.
However, after the event aired, some netizens criticized the unique design, claiming it looked like a “fried egg” and labeling her one of the “worst dressers.” Han Ye-ri fired back with confidence, stating, “Just because it’s an awards ceremony doesn’t mean I always have to stick to a safe style.” She added, “The staff did their best to make it harmonize with my short hair, and I was beautiful enough that day.”

Fans are rallying behind her, with comments like, “It was a wonderful choice that highlighted her individuality” and “It’s so much better than those cookie-cutter dresses.” Beyond fashion, Han Ye-ri once again proved her talent by being nominated for Best Actress in a Film for the movie ‘Spring Night’. This project is especially meaningful as it marks her reunion after 16 years with director Kang Mi-ja, who worked on her feature film debut.

Recently, Han Ye-ri also shared her feelings after the first screening of the movie ‘Searching for the Lost Heart’. Reflecting on the film’s first “voyage,” she shared, “I feel a strange sense of calm,” and expressed her sincere hope that “the audience feels and finds comfort in this movie with their hearts rather than trying to analyze it.”
After a short break, Han Ye-ri plans to meet her audience through various channels, including film festivals. By staying true to her own distinct style in both fashion and acting, she continues her journey as a true artist. Her confidence in defining her own beauty, rather than settling for the ordinary, is serving as a fresh inspiration to many.
