31st Generation Sun-ja has sparked worries after complaining of sudden pain while talking to Kyung-soo, following a high-stakes running race against Young-sook for a Super Date ticket.
In the May 6 episode of ENA and SBS Plus’s I am SOLO, dates were decided by the choices of the 31st Generation women.
Kyung-soo ended up on a multi-person date after being chosen by both Sun-ja and Young-sook. During his one-on-one time with Sun-ja, Kyung-soo admitted, “Actually, the situation is the same as yesterday. Right now, my feelings for you are stronger,” confirming Sun-ja is his top pick, though he expressed a desire to talk more with Young-sook.
Sun-ja asked him to “organize his thoughts quickly.” In an interview with the production team, she revealed, “I understand, so I said okay, but I didn’t feel great. Complex stress built up, and my condition suddenly plummeted. It was hard to endure several hours of uncomfortable tension.” She even described the situation as feeling like a “three-car pile-up,” though she believes Young-sook can figure things out since they are in Solo Land.
Meanwhile, Kyung-soo told Young-sook, “I’m very curious, but it’s not a huge proportion. I wondered if we’d fit better after talking, but I feel like that hasn’t been resolved. This date wasn’t the kind to resolve that.”
Panelist Defconn expressed dissatisfaction, noting that Kyung-soo seems to be telling both women to just “fight for it.” Song Hae-na added that neither Sun-ja nor Young-sook seem to be 100% for him, while Lee Yi-kyung empathized, saying that if something is puzzling, you have to explore it.
Young-sook lamented, “Can I change Kyung-soo’s mind in the remaining time? My confidence dropped during this date.” Kyung-soo reflected, “It ended with me just reading the room. Not much gain. If I focus on Sun-ja, Young-sook is alienated, and if I focus on Young-sook, Sun-ja might be upset. It was very hard to decide on a stance. It was about 7:3 before, and it’s still like that,” confirming Sun-ja holds the 7.
The episode’s preview teased a fierce battle for the Super Date ticket. Everyone was shocked to see Sun-ja and Young-sook as the final two racing desperately toward the finish line, with Lee Yi-kyung exclaiming in shock, “How did those two come in together?”
However, the subsequent scene between Kyung-soo and Sun-ja was even more shocking. While talking with their heads bowed, Sun-ja said, “I understand your feelings,” before suddenly groaning “Ah” and complaining of extreme pain. The preview also teased tears from both Sun-ja and Kyung-soo. Song Hae-na worried, “It seems like something big happened again,” and Defconn expressed concern, asking, “Why is Sun-ja suddenly sick, and what is happening with Kyung-soo?”
