A press conference for the ‘2026 Cool FM’ reorganization was held on the 11th at the KBS main building in Yeouido, Seoul. New DJs Paul Kim, Gabee, and announcer Heo Yu-won attended, along with CP Kim Hong-beom and PDs Oh Gwi-na, Kwon Ye-ji, and Hong A-ram, to share their ambitions for the new lineup.
Announcer Heo Yu-won, from the 50th open recruitment class, caught everyone’s attention. He has been appointed as the host of ‘Refreshing Morning,’ which airs at 5 AM.
After finishing his first broadcast, Heo Yu-won shared, “I was so excited and happy. As the listeners probably noticed, I was lacking and spoke a bit disjointedly, but it was a wonderful experience for me.”
He expressed his love for radio, adding, “I think this is the result of me whining to the announcer’s office about wanting to do radio ever since I joined the company.”
He also shared some funny advice he received. Announcer Eom Ji-in told him, “Don’t try to be modest. You’re originally a weird kid.” Senior Jo Jung-sik also emphasized being honest, saying, “If people feel you’re a weird kid even without trying, they’ll find it fun,” which brought laughter to the room.
