Singer Hong Ji-yoon has shared the heartwarming news that she will be donating her entire winning prize from a survival program.
In the “Best Friends Special” of the KBS2 variety show ‘Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-staurant’ (hereafter ‘Fun-staurant’) aired on the 15th, Hong Ji-yoon joined the show as a special MC.
Known as the ‘Trot Barbie’ and a close friend and student of Chef Lee Yeon-bok, Hong Ji-yoon brought a lot of energy to the show. During the episode, it was revealed that she recently became the winner of the popular trot survival show ‘Active King 3’. Hong Ji-yoon announced that she has decided to donate her entire 100 million won prize to support elderly people living alone.
Explaining her decision, Hong Ji-yoon shared, “Since our profession receives so much love from the elderly, I felt that donating the entire prize would be the best way to give back.”
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV’s ‘Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-staurant’ is a program where celebrities with great cooking skills challenge themselves as ‘Fun-chefs,’ sharing their daily lives and introducing delicious menus they want to share with others.
