Actress Hwang Jung Eum has finally spoken up about the controversy surrounding her giveaway of “discarded” toys.
On the 26th, a new video titled “Day of self-dyeing hair with 72-year-old dad” was uploaded to Hwang Jung Eum’s YouTube channel.
In the video, Hwang Jung Eum gave fans a peek into the home she shares with her mother and two sons. She admitted she is still in the process of organizing her belongings, confessing, “I don’t know how to arrange the layout yet.”
With toys scattered on one side of the room, she mentioned, “I gave away so many toys, but since it was a birthday a few days ago, I’ve ended up with this many again.”

Previously, Hwang Jung Eum faced allegations that she was giving away items that should have been thrown away during a giveaway for her son’s toys.
Addressing this, she explained, “I wanted to share with good intentions, but because I took photos while things weren’t organized and posted them in a hurry, it caused a lot of misunderstandings. Fortunately, the people who visited in person wrote about it, so the situation was resolved.”
At the time of the controversy, a netizen who visited the giveaway site defended her, stating that the items did not look like waste. They noted that children’s supplies and books were free, while adult clothes, bags, and shoes were handled like a flea market.
Hwang Jung Eum, who had remained silent until then, caught attention by leaving a comment saying, “I wasn’t responding because the articles weren’t true… please spread the word that I’m giving away toys, baby clothes, and books.”
