Amidst the growing controversy over “backbiting” among the female contestants of ‘I am SOLO’ 31st batch, some unreleased footage has finally been revealed!
On May 8, the YouTube channel ‘Chonjang Entertainment TV’ uploaded a video titled “※Unreleased※ When is it going to end… Sun-ja waiting for Kyung-soo and Young-sook’s conversation to end.” The 12-minute clip features unseen moments from the ENA and SBS Plus variety show ‘I am SOLO’.
During the evening of the third day, the 31st batch contestants gathered in the living room. When Young-sook asked Kyung-soo for a private chat, Sun-ja remarked, “That can happen.” Young-ja then asked Sun-ja if Young-sook was the one who initiated the move, to which Sun-ja confirmed. Young-ja wondered aloud if Kyung-soo had feelings for Young-sook.
Sun-ja explained, “Rather than feelings, she just expressed herself and maximized her choice for today. But anyway, I do want to talk more. I just told them to go ahead and talk.” Later, Young-ja suggested they go change their clothes together, but Sun-ja declined, saying, “It’ll be awkward there. I’ll just step out.”
When Young-ja offered to go check on the couple since she had to change anyway, Sun-ja firmly replied, “I don’t want to know.” Noticing Sun-ja’s low energy, Ok-sun joked, “Why is this like a documentary? Is this a funeral? Smile a bit, come on!” Meanwhile, Kwang-soo asked Sun-ja how her date went, and she replied that it was good.
Young-ja questioned if it was still good despite having two “many-to-one” dates. Sun-ja responded, “Even if it was many-to-one, I did it twice with the person I wanted.” Ok-sun then chimed in, asking, “Just how good is it?” This left Sun-ja flustered, prompting Young-shik to tell Ok-sun, “Why are you asking something like that?” Ok-sun simply laughed, saying she was curious.

Meanwhile, the May 6 episode of ‘I am SOLO’ showed Ok-sun, Jung-hee, and Young-sook having a “girls’ talk.” However, their conversation was audible in Sun-ja’s room. Panelist Defconn noted, “I can hear it. Everything is audible. That makes it even more uncomfortable.” Sun-ja unintentionally overheard them discussing her.
Defconn commented, “Unintentionally, they are backbiting. The person involved ended up hearing it.” On the other hand, Song Hae-na argued, “I wouldn’t call it backbiting. They’re just talking. That’s sharing, not backbiting.” Sun-ja opened up about her feelings, saying, “I’m stressed. So stressed. I’m terrified of the girls’ talk in that room.”
