Kyung-soo from the 31st generation has finally conquered a mission born from the “madness” of the ‘I am SOLO’ production team after four long years!
In the May 13 broadcast of ENA and SBS Plus’s ‘I am SOLO’, a fierce battle for the Super Date ticket took place.
The production team posed a challenge, asking, “There is a poem in the space where you are staying. A very famous one. Who can memorize the whole thing?” Kyung-soo stepped up and recited the poem perfectly without a single mistake, leaving the staff stunned and earning him the Super Date ticket.
The poem was ‘Longing’ by Cheongma Yu Chi-hwan, a mission that had been running in Solo Land since 2022. While the staff requested secrecy about the ongoing mission, Defconn expressed his shock, saying, “The production team are people we just can’t understand.” Lee Yi-kyung was equally amazed, questioning if they had kept the mission going until someone finally got it right.
Clips of the ‘Longing’ frame hanging in various spots across Solo Land over the last four years highlighted the production team’s obsession. Out of 306 participants, 31st generation Kyung-soo was the first to finally memorize it. Defconn congratulated him on setting a “great record,” while Song Hae-na marveled at how he could memorize the entire text.
Defconn also revealed a funny secret about the poem frame. It turns out there was a typo during the transcription process! The part written as “The beloved does not budge like water” (임은 물같이 까딱 않는데) should have actually been “like land” (뭍같이). The production team teased that more “madness-inducing” hidden missions are on the way, ramping up anticipation.
