Rapper BewhY is shutting down the hip-hop label he founded 9 years ago.
On the 1st, BewhY shared a heartfelt message on his SNS, stating, “I am officially ending the operations of the Dejavu Group label.”
BewhY opened up, saying, “It has already been 10 years since I started making music and rapping. During that time, I ran forward without doubt, believing that I could make it. Even when I had nothing, I stood before you with that single belief, and eventually, I experienced success.”
He continued, “That experience made me confident, and I believed the direction I chose would always be right. However, life did not go as I imagined,” adding that he faced mistakes and confusion in business and personal relationships.
BewhY candidly admitted, “Now, I will face it. I failed. I have come to clearly understand my own limits and have decided to let go of the things I was obsessed with. I am ending the activities of my label, Dejavu Group, which was established in 2017.”
Finally, he expressed gratitude to the colleagues and fans who believed in him, stating, “This decision was by no means light, and all responsibility lies entirely with me.”
BewhY rose to fame after winning the Mnet survival program ‘Show Me The Money 5’ in 2016. Since then, he has been active through his hip-hop label, Dejavu Group.
Below is the full text of BewhY’s statement.

Hello, this is BewhY.
It has already been 10 years since I started making music and rapping. During that time, I ran forward without doubt, believing that I could make it. Even when I had nothing, I stood before you with that single belief, and eventually, I experienced success.
That experience made me confident, and I believed the direction I chose would always be right. However, life did not go as I imagined.
Many things, from business and human relationships to my own inner beliefs, flowed in a direction far different from what I had envisioned. My faults and mistakes grew, and I didn’t want to admit that fact. I was afraid that the moment I admitted it, I would have to face the fact that my choices were foolish and wrong, and that the word ‘failure’ would follow me.
But now, I will face it. I failed.
I have come to clearly understand my own limits and have decided to let go of the things I was obsessed with. I am ending the activities of my label, Dejavu Group, which was established in 2017.
This decision was by no means light, and all responsibility lies entirely with me. I also want to thank the artists who believed in me and stayed by my side. I sincerely thank everyone who has watched and supported Dejavu Group, and at the same time, I offer my apologies.
