Kang Yu-gyeong burst into tears on the latest episode of ‘Heart Signal 5’!
In the May 12 broadcast of Channel A’s ‘Heart Signal 5’, the arrival of the new “catfish” member Choi So-yoon led to an emotional moment for Kang Yu-gyeong.
The new resident, Choi So-yoon, made her grand entrance, surprising the existing members. She introduced herself as a student at Korea University and a freelance graphic designer. With her outgoing personality, she quickly took the lead in the conversation.
Choi So-yoon kept her eyes on Park Woo-yeol, asking him, “Why aren’t you drinking?” Park replied that he hadn’t been feeling well and had visited the hospital. Kang Yu-gyeong seemed quite aware of the interaction.
Choi So-yoon also asked everyone about their ideal types. Kim Seong-min noted that they hadn’t even discussed it among themselves, and Kim Min-ju agreed.
Park Woo-yeol shared that he usually decides based on first impressions, adding, “I don’t have a set type, but I look for a certain feeling. I like it when there’s good ‘tiki-taka’ and the conversation is fun.”
Choi So-yoon explained that while she previously said she liked the ‘puppy-like’ and reliable type, she actually prefers someone she’s instantly drawn to. “I think everything is decided within three seconds of meeting someone,” she said. When Kim Min-ju curiously asked if she had already decided, Choi So-yoon replied, “Yes, I have.”
Choi So-yoon chose Park Woo-yeol for her first date, and the two enjoyed a cozy time together. However, upon returning home late, Kang Yu-gyeong suddenly broke down in tears. Kim Min-ju worriedly asked, “Yu-gyeong, what’s wrong?” as Kang confessed, “I’m going crazy,” while Kim comforted her, saying, “It’s okay. You can cry.”
In an interview with the production team, Kang Yu-gyeong opened up, “I thought I was okay until yesterday, but I think I was just ignoring it. I told myself I should just move on because that would be easier for my own peace of mind. I liked him too quickly. I shouldn’t have.”
Still struggling with her emotions, Kang Yu-gyeong added, “I tried so hard not to feel anything for him,” before breaking down again. She lamented, “It’s so annoying. He shouldn’t be so fair. His lips shouldn’t be so red. He shouldn’t smile like that,” adding, “It really hurts.”
