I.O.I Teases Bold Narrative with Unexpected Kiss in New Music Video!

The music video teaser for the new song “Suddenly” has been released! Their 3rd mini album ‘I.O.I : LOOP’ is set to drop on May 19.

I.O.I (Lim Na Young, Chungha, Kim Sejeong, Jung Chae Yeon, Kim So Hye, Yoo Yeon Jung, Choi Yoo Jung, Kim Do Yeon, Jeon Somi) posted a teaser video for the title track “Suddenly” from their 3rd mini album ‘I.O.I : LOOP’ on their official social media at midnight on the 6th. The teaser hints at a bold narrative, including an unexpected kiss.

The video kicks off with a shocking scene where Jeon Somi approaches Kim Do Yeon for an unexpected kiss. The contrast between the bold Jeon Somi and the flustered Kim Do Yeon creates a cinematic sequence that maximizes the mysterious tension of the title track, leaving fans curious about the full story in the music video.

The title track “Suddenly” is a synth-pop track that delicately captures the waves of longing that suddenly rush in. Member Jeon Somi participated in writing the lyrics, expressing sincerity about the time they spent together and the tenderness of a reconnecting relationship. The lyrics deeply reflect memories of the past that resurface amidst the fast pace of daily life.

I.O.I was formed through Mnet’s survival audition program ‘Produce 101’ in 2016 and received immense love immediately upon debut. However, as a project group active for about a year, they disbanded after the release of the digital single “Downpour” in January 2017. Now, they are returning with a new song after 9 years and 4 months.

Following this, they will kick off their Asia Tour ‘2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP’ at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul for three days from the 29th to the 31st to share an emotional connection with their fans.
