Group I.O.I is returning to ‘Knowing Bros’ to celebrate their 10th debut anniversary!
Appearing in the JTBC variety show ‘Knowing Bros’ airing on the 16th, the reunited I.O.I members are set to deliver a special time with their upgraded wit and unchanging teamwork.
Having appeared on ‘Knowing Bros’ as their final full-group variety show before ending activities in 2016, I.O.I shared their regrets, saying, “Since we were the start of audition program groups, we weren’t sure if we’d succeed, so our contract period was the shortest.” They also added to fans’ excitement by announcing their first-ever overseas concert tour.
Chungha, whom the members credited as the key person behind the reunion, shared a touching story: “I went to an event and there were still fans holding I.O.I albums and lightsticks to get signatures,” revealing that the fans were the reason they gathered again.
Jeon Somi expressed her love for their new track, stating, “I participated in writing the lyrics for the title song ‘Suddenly’.” I.O.I then performed a medley of their hits and the new song, while the cast members reacted enthusiastically by following the songs and choreography. Moved by the response, Jeon Somi burst into tears, which in turn made Choi Yoo-jung emotional, leading to a heartwarming moment as the members comforted each other.
The members also revealed some unexpected charms. Kim So-hye, who created the famous line “So-hye, do you want to be a singer?” during the audition program, caught everyone’s attention by overcoming her dance trauma. She showcased high-level dancing to Tyla’s ‘Water,’ prompting Kang Ho-dong to joke, “The dance was so intense I thought your neck was going to fall off,” sparking laughter.
Yoo Yeon-jung added more interest by revealing, “I’m known as the influencer among I.O.I,” and “When I recommend something, the members do a group purchase.” Jeon Somi mimicked Yoo Yeon-jung’s unique sales pitch, saying, “Unnie describes things so tastily that you can’t help but buy them,” and Yoo Yeon-jung surprised everyone by revealing an unexpected item she had recommended.
