What on earth was MC Mong thinking?
MC Mong has launched a fearless exposé, naming names. He even held a live broadcast, fully prepared to be sued for defamation. But why did he do it?
The attack began on the afternoon of the 18th. During a live stream, MC Mong targeted “Mr. A,” the uncle of One Hundred Chairman Cha Ga-won.
MC Mong claimed that Mr. A is obsessed with gambling, alleging he told EXO’s Baekhyun, “I’ll give you over a billion won, let’s go to Las Vegas,” and “Baekhyun, a man should know how to gamble.” After leaving SM Entertainment, Baekhyun established his own label, INB100, which was later incorporated into One Hundred, the label co-founded by Chairman Cha and MC Mong.
MC Mong further alleged that Mr. A has been in a secret five-year relationship with a veteran actress “B” and operates an entertainment gambling ring called “Baduki.” He claimed the members visit bars twice a week to gamble billions of won, sometimes giving tips of 10 to 20 million won to the hostesses. Specifically, MC Mong mentioned, “My senior Kim Min-jong, whom I liked, is also there. He receives an allowance from Mr. A and drives a Rolls-Royce supercar.”
Alongside these claims, MC Mong asserted that rumors about him intentionally extracting teeth to avoid military service, engaging in prostitution, or having an affair with Chairman Cha are completely groundless. He claimed the prostitution allegations were based on manipulated photos of Chairman Cha and Mr. A with a girlfriend, and the affair rumors were fake news spread by Mr. A.
MC Mong also expressed his frustration, denying that he used company funds for illegal gambling and claiming that Mr. A provided false information to MBC’s “PD Notebook” to trigger an investigation. He stated, “You just need to check the account records. How could I use company funds for illegal gambling?” He added, “I have all the recordings and texts of Kim Min-jong giving 10 million won to a woman he took to Japan after receiving tips at a room salon. If they want to sue me for defamation, let them. I will expose everything exactly as it is.”
He vowed not to stay silent any longer, saying, “I’ve endured this unfairness for a long time, but I won’t just sit back anymore.”
However, these are one-sided claims from MC Mong. Mr. A, Chairman Cha, Kim Min-jong, and Baekhyun have not yet released any official statements.
