ILLIT members Yuna and Minju caught everyone’s attention with their honest and candid conversation.
On the 7th, a video titled “Your bias isn’t something you choose, they suddenly come and hit your heart saying ‘I’m your bias from today’ – l EP. 54 l ILLIT Yuna & Minju – Jo Hyun-ah’s Ordinary Thursday Night” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Jo Hyun-ah’s Ordinary Thursday Night’ (Jo Mok Bam).
The special guests for the day were Yuna and Minju from the popular girl group ILLIT. During the episode, the two revealed that since there are currently five members in ILLIT, they divide their rooms into groups of two, two, and one.
The single room is decided via a ladder game, which is conducted directly by their manager. It was notable that Yuna participates in the ladder game fairly despite being the eldest in the team. Minju mentioned that she loves sharing a room with Yuna because she is “so funny,” but honestly admitted that she prefers a single room over sharing with Yuna. They added that they are best friends who have already lived together for eight years.
Yuna shared some unexpected hobbies, mentioning that she enjoys playing Overwatch and is interested in temple stays. She explained her preference for temple stays by saying, “Isn’t the world too noisy and loud these days? Especially, I heard that temple food is delicious.”
When talking about memorable compliments, Minju shared that a message saying “I feel like I can live more thanks to you” stood out to her. Yuna said she is most touched “when people recognize the parts I worked hard on.” Since she loves receiving such compliments, she added that she also gives detailed compliments to her fellow members.
When asked if there was anything she wanted to “flex” on, Yuna said, “Since I love gaming, one of my dreams is to create a gaming room if I ever live on my own. I want to decorate it with LED lighting and a flashing keyboard.” She added, “I want to set it up with a refrigerator and cup noodles on the side, just like a PC cafe.”
Minju showed a surprising charm by saying, “I want to buy home appliances like a TV, a styler, and a kimchi refrigerator.” She added, “I really love kimchi. I love all kinds of kimchi, so I want to buy a kimchi refrigerator.”
After the talk, they performed their song ‘Cherish (My Love)’ on the spot, accompanied by Jo Hyun-ah on the piano.
A surprise talent was revealed in the behind-the-scenes cookie video. Minju said, “Ah, I don’t know, I’ll just say it,” and mentioned that her “stingray” talent was banned for being “ugly,” before demonstrating the facial expression on the spot. However, contrary to the concerns, Minju’s stingray impression was simply cute, leaving Jo Hyun-ah bewildered.
