“I’m Quiet, But I’m Not a Pushover!” Iconic Lines Pour Out of ‘Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness’

Goo Kyo-hwan and Go Youn-jung have fought back against those who view them as “worthless.”

In the JTBC Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness’ (directed by Cha Young-hoon, written by Park Hae-young, produced by Studio Phoenix, SLL, and Studio Flow, hereafter ‘Mo-Ja-Mu-Ssa’), Hwang Dong-man’s (Goo Kyo-hwan) outbursts spare no one.

When Choi Dong-hyun (Choi Won-young), CEO of Choi Film, who calls himself an “apostle of cutting ties” and gave the advice to “quit” that the 8-person group couldn’t bring themselves to say, Hwang Dong-man fired back, “Why does my life have to be to your liking?”

Also, the scene where he confronts the way others look at him is a must-watch. After Park Kyung-se (Oh Jung-se) delivered a massive “fact attack” organized into seven clear points, Hwang Dong-man hit back, saying, “I’m not as miserable as you guys think.”

Byeon Eun-ah’s (Go Youn-jung) outbursts are equally resonant. While Hwang Dong-man is the explosive type, Byeon Eun-ah is the type to pierce low and accurately. When the 8-person group whispered that they wished Hwang Dong-man would “please just stay quiet,” Byeon Eun-ah murmured, “How can I stay still when I’m paralyzed with fear? If I don’t say anything, it feels like I don’t even exist, so how can I be quiet?”

Then, facing Choi Dong-hyun, who tried to belittle her out of an inferiority complex, she delivered a shocking straight-talk: “I’ve never once thought you had power, CEO. I do think you’re erratic.” She then crushed the arrogance of power with a chilling warning, “I am a quiet girl, but I am not a pushover or someone weak.”
