Actress Im Soo-hyang, who has shown a special love for running and environmental protection, is hosting a meaningful event to celebrate World Environment Day on June 5.
Im Soo-hyang’s agency, Sublime, announced on the 7th that she will team up with the environmental organization ‘People Who Clean the Earth’ to hold a waste-free mini marathon called ‘Soohyang X Mini Muhae-run’ at Yeouido Hangang Park on May 30.
This event was inspired by Im Soo-hyang’s own participation in the ‘2026 Muhae-run’ held on April 5. Deeply resonating with the goal of combining running with environmental care, she personally planned and joined this ‘Mini Muhae-run’ to share that vision with more people. Adding to the significance of the event, a portion of the proceeds from her previous flea market was donated to ‘People Who Clean the Earth’ to help organize it.
‘Soohyang X Mini Muhae-run’ will take place on Saturday, May 30, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Yeouido Hangang Park. Participants will run a course of approximately 5km and then engage in plogging by picking up trash around the area.
Im Soo-hyang shared a heartfelt invitation, saying, “I hope many people will show interest in joining us to clean the Earth through a 5km mini marathon and plogging to celebrate World Environment Day.”
Im Soo-hyang first got into running through her appearance on MBN’s ‘Run for Your Life 2’ (뛰어야 산다2), which ended this February. Since then, she has been spreading healthy energy through her consistent activities with running crews.
Applications for the event can be made through the official Instagram of ‘People Who Clean the Earth (Wipers)’. The application period is from Friday, May 8, at 8:00 PM until Friday, May 15, at 11:59 PM.
Beyond her acting career, Im Soo-hyang continues to spread positive influence by showing a steady interest in environmental and social issues.
