T-ara’s Ham Eun-jung sparked laughter after receiving a playful comment from a staff member while trying out 5th generation idol makeup.
On the 13th, a video titled “5th Gen Idol Challenge” was uploaded to Ham Eun-jung’s YouTube channel.
While getting her makeup done, Ham Eun-jung shared her honest thoughts on current trends, saying, “There are so many 5th gen idol makeup styles these days. Some are glossy, some have a baked look, and some are very clear. But I feel like 2nd gen idol makeup is the style that suits me best.”
She seemed particularly bewildered during the process of emphasizing her aegyo-sal. Ham Eun-jung expressed her surprise at the unfamiliar style, asking, “Why are you painting under my eyes so dark? My aegyo-sal has become too big!”
The makeup artist explained, “All idols do it this way these days. It looks great in photos,” adding, “Actors usually don’t like this kind of look.”
To this, Ham Eun-jung hesitated for a moment, saying, “But I’m both an idol and an actor…” before jokingly adding, “I’ve become a total actor. I think I’ve caught ‘actor’s disease’!” The makeup artist joined in on the joke, replying, “Yeah, you’ve definitely got actor’s disease,” which left everyone laughing.
After adding idol-style details like eyelashes, aegyo-sal, and highlighter, Ham Eun-jung couldn’t hide her amazement, saying, “I look like a completely different person. This is my first time trying this style.”
Meanwhile, Ham Eun-jung debuted in 2009 as a member of T-ara and gained huge popularity before transitioning into acting, continuing her career in various dramas and movies.
