Jang Keun-suk couldn’t hide his shock after receiving a wedding cost estimate that reached hundreds of millions of won.
In the May 22 episode of the tvN variety show ‘구기동 프렌즈’, Jang Keun-suk and Choi Daniel set out to check wedding estimates.
On the way to the wedding hall, Jang Keun-suk shared his serious thoughts on marriage, revealing his dream of having a “small wedding.”
The wedding hall they visited was a place Jang Keun-suk had been eyeing. He expressed interest, noting, “Whenever I pass by here, I see guests getting some fresh air or going to the convenience store.”
Showing his determination, Jang Keun-suk even handled the reservation himself. He couldn’t hide his excitement, explaining, “What’s interesting about this place is that both outdoor and indoor weddings are possible.”
Upon arriving and seeing the luxurious exterior, Choi Daniel asked a practical question about the cost: “This looks expensive. Does the price not matter? I think the price will be the most important part.” Jang Keun-suk confidently replied, “All I have is plenty of leisure.”
However, that confidence didn’t last long.
Before getting the actual estimate, Jang Keun-suk filled out a preliminary survey. When asked what he considers most important when choosing a wedding venue, he answered, “(food) menu, flowers.”
During the consultation with the wedding planner, Jang Keun-suk asked about the budget for floral decorations. He asked, “If I set the largest budget possible, saying ‘I want to set this place on fire with flowers and make it the most beautiful day,’ how much would that be?” The planner’s response was shocking.
The answer was “infinite.” Jang Keun-suk was stunned to hear that there was no upper limit to the cost of flowers.
Meanwhile, Choi Daniel added fuel to the fire, joking, “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime day, so money isn’t important,” which sparked laughter. Jang Keun-suk irritably retorted, “I’ll handle it. Why do you keep chiming in?”
Jang Keun-suk then checked the price for a full venue rental assuming 1,200 guests. He was shocked to learn that the flower costs would double for a full rental.
When the final estimate, combining the full rental and flower costs, was revealed to be in the hundreds of millions of won, both men were left speechless. The shock grew even further when they were told this price didn’t even include “SDM” (Studio, Dress, and Makeup) costs.
In disbelief, Jang Keun-suk reacted, “Am I being ripped off? Is this for real?” Choi Daniel also seemed speechless, saying, “I’m hearing this for the first time too.”
