Premiering May 31 at 10 PM, Comedy TV’s ‘Mechuri Expedition’ is a brand-new menu reasoning show where participants use all five senses to guess the menu and the secrets behind the flavor.
The title ‘Mechuri Expedition’ is short for ‘Menu Reasoning Expedition.’ The cast will visit everything from hidden gems to the trendiest hot spots to relentlessly investigate mysterious dishes.
While traditional mukbang focuses on eating a lot or eating deliciously, ‘Mechuri Expedition’ adds a layer of mystery. It is a battle of wits where the cast searches for answers using clues like ultra-zoomed-in photos and ingredients hidden inside delivery bags.
Jang Sung-kyu and creator Malwang are joining the expedition. Fans can look forward to a unique mukbang chemistry combining Jang Sung-kyu’s variety skills and Malwang’s high energy.
The tension ramps up with a special rule: only those who guess the answer correctly get to enjoy the actual taste. The process of reasoning through clues followed by the catharsis of the mukbang is expected to provide a fresh kind of fun.
The production team stated, “We wanted to create a program where viewers can enjoy the familiar mukbang format in a new way by adding a reasoning element to the process of finding great restaurants.”
