Jeon Ji Hyun's Zombie Acting Earns High Praise From Director Yeon Sang Ho: 'Her Long Legs Are Like a Water Strider!'

Actress Jeon Ji Hyun recently spilled the beans on how she earned major props for her zombie acting from none other than director Yeon Sang Ho!

On May 6th, a thrilling preview titled ‘(Friday Preview) Found! My Zombie Gem Jeon Ji Hyun’ dropped on the YouTube channel ‘Channel Shiboya’.

This sneak peek featured director Yeon Sang Ho, along with stars Jeon Ji Hyun, Kim Shin Rok, and Ji Chang Wook, all from the upcoming film ‘Gunche,’ set to release on May 8th.

Director Yeon Sang Ho kicked things off by revealing, “Honestly, when I made ‘Busanhaeng’ (Train to Busan), it was pretty much my first zombie movie. So, the martial arts team felt a bit embarrassed at the beginning when it came to zombie acting.”

He elaborated, “The action team had always focused on cool, impressive moves, so when they were suddenly asked to do zombie acting, they felt a little awkward at first.” He then added, “But now, there’s absolutely no shame about zombies; it’s all about who can do it best! Even actress Jeon Ji Hyun is showing incredible dedication…”

Jeon Ji Hyun chimed in, describing the moment: “Since the director is such a master of zombie films, I just tried out some moves next to him. He wasn’t even looking at me directly; he was focused on the monitor. But then he caught a glimpse of me out of the corner of his eye, as if he’d just discovered a hidden gem!”

Director Yeon Sang Ho hilariously described Jeon Ji Hyun’s zombie performance: “Her legs are incredibly long. When those long legs bend and twist, I thought, ‘Huh?! Is that… kind of like a water strider?'” His comment definitely got some laughs!

Jeon Ji Hyun added with a smile, “The director’s eyes just lit up!”

Jeon Ji Hyun is starring in director Yeon Sang Ho’s highly anticipated film, ‘Gunche.’ This new zombie flick follows in the footsteps of his previous hits, ‘Busanhaeng’ (Train to Busan) and ‘Bando’ (Peninsula), and is slated for a domestic release on May 21st.
