Director Yeon Sang-ho’s latest film, ‘Gunche’, has finally dropped its official trailer!
Distributor Showbox released the trailer for ‘Gunche’, a movie that promises extreme suspense. The story follows isolated survivors trapped in a building locked down due to a mysterious infection, where they must face infected beings that evolve in unpredictable ways.
The trailer kicks off by showing Kwon Se-jung (Jun Ji-hyun), Choi Hyun-seok (Ji Chang-wook), Gong Seol-hee (Shin Hyun-bin), Choi Hyun-hee (Kim Shin-rok), and Han Kyu-sung (Go Soo) as they desperately fight to survive their dire circumstances.
In contrast to the others’ fierce struggle, Seo Young-cheol (Koo Kyo-hwan) appears completely composed, sparking curiosity about his secrets as he claims, “I am the only vaccine that can stop this situation.”
The sight of the infected charging fiercely and evolving unpredictably contrasts with Choi Hyun-seok’s line, “If we just get to the rooftop, we can all survive,” hinting that the survivors’ journey will be anything but smooth. The confrontation between the survivors’ leader, Kwon Se-jung, and the man behind the infection, Seo Young-cheol, suggests an intense clash and high-tension suspense.
Showbox stated, “‘Gunche’ will captivate global audiences as the most intense entertaining movie of 2026, delivering not only an unpredictable story featuring six characters in the middle of an infection crisis but also seamless speed, scale, and suspense.”
‘Gunche’ is scheduled to be released in Korea on the 21st.
