Comedian Jung Ju-ri recently shared the news that she is losing her reliable childcare support, leaving her to care for her five children on her own. To make matters worse, her husband is scheduled for foot surgery, meaning she is facing two weeks of “maximum difficulty” solo parenting.

On May 13, a video titled “What happened to multi-child mom Jung Ju-ri??” was uploaded to her YouTube channel, ‘Jung Ju-ri’.

In the video, Jung Ju-ri exclaimed, “It’s a disaster. What am I going to do?” She revealed that her husband’s youngest aunt, who had been a huge help for the past year and two months, has left. “She was like my hands and feet, and thanks to her, I was so comfortable both physically and mentally,” she said, expressing her gratitude.

Regarding the reason for the aunt’s departure, Jung Ju-ri explained, “She’s returning to her original profession at a daycare center. She received an offer with such great conditions that she couldn’t turn it down.”

Facing the sudden loss of her support system, Jung Ju-ri steeled herself, saying, “Starting tomorrow, I’m on my own. I need to stay focused. I really have to look after the children by myself.”

Jung Ju-ri also shared a funny conversation she had with her husband. When she told him the news, he reportedly suggested, “Then I’ll quit my job and stay home to help with the kids,” to which she quickly replied, “Then who’s going to earn the money?”

Adding to the chaos, her husband is facing foot surgery. Jung Ju-ri explained, “My husband once stepped on a nail. He had surgery about two years later when it got worse, but it has recurred and worsened again. They said he needs to be hospitalized for two weeks.”

Realizing she will be practically alone in charge of the kids for two weeks, she jokingly pleaded, “Nobody look for me in May,” highlighting the heavy reality of parenting.

Still, Jung Ju-ri encouraged herself, saying, “I need to stay focused, send the kids off, and build up my strength for a healthy life. I’ll exercise, tidy up the house, and prepare all the meals and snacks before the kids come back. I can do this. I’ve made it this far.”
