A kind friend or a ruthless serial killer? Jung Moon-sung is delivering a masterclass in acting with two polar opposite faces in ‘Scarecrow’, airing Monday and Tuesday nights at 10 PM.

In the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Scarecrow’ (written by Lee Ji-hyun, directed by Park Jun-woo), Jung Moon-sung is captivating audiences by playing a dual role: the naive and family-oriented Lee Ki-hwan and the cold-hearted serial killer Lee Yong-woo.
During episodes 7 and 8, viewers were left in shock when it was revealed that the innocent neighborhood bookstore owner Lee Ki-hwan was actually Lee Yong-woo, the true culprit of the serial killings that Kang Tae-joo (played by Park Hae-soo) had been desperately searching for.
Lee Ki-hwan is a childhood friend of Kang Tae-joo and Seo Ji-won (played by Kwak Sun-young) who lives an ordinary life as a devoted family man. Jung Moon-sung portrayed Lee Ki-hwan’s human side through a soft, stable tone and a caring gaze, completing the character with a calm and kind expression rather than overt emotion.
However, the Lee Yong-woo revealed through the plot twist is the complete opposite. Jung Moon-sung creates intense tension with a gaze full of madness, a low and dry tone that feels strangely excited, and a chilling sneer. He maximizes the sense of meanness and horror through an unreadable expression and a piercing stare.
Jung Moon-sung is showcasing his incredible range by effortlessly switching between warmth and coldness. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what other twists he will bring in the remaining episodes after perfectly portraying the face of evil hidden behind the most human mask.
You can catch Jung Moon-sung’s stunning performance in ‘Scarecrow’ every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM, also available on Genie TV and TVING.
