Jung Seo-ju Nervous Over Yang Ji-eun's Emotional Stage on 'Friday Golden Star':

The 20th episode of TV CHOSUN’s ‘Friday Golden Star’, airing on May 8, will feature a Parents’ Day special titled ‘Let’s Be Filial.’ The episode will be extra special as the members’ parents and families will be sitting in the audience. A “Golden Star Death Match” featuring heartfelt songs dedicated to family will take place, promising a mix of laughter and emotion that will leave a lasting impression on viewers.

This episode is drawing significant attention with a showdown between past winners of the ‘Miss Trot’ series. Yang Ji-eun, who takes the stage first, chooses the song ‘Father,’ which she helped write to express her longing for her late father. Reportedly, Yang Ji-eun poured all her emotions into a heartbreaking performance, even kneeling on stage, turning the set into a sea of tears.

The cast members were deeply moved, saying, “It was like watching Shim Cheong.” Jung Seo-ju, who performs next, expressed her nerves and pressure, wondering, “Should I even kneel too?”

Jung Seo-ju prepares a stage for her mother, who supported her even when she quit her job in Busan to pursue her dreams. She will perform Lim Young-woong’s ‘Trust in Me,’ delivering another emotional experience with her clear voice and deepened sensibility. All eyes are on whether Jung Seo-ju can overcome the lingering emotion of Yang Ji-eun’s performance to become the owner of the Golden Star.

TV CHOSUN’s ‘Friday Golden Star,’ blending tender hearts for parents and family support, will air on Friday, May 8, at 10 PM.
