Jung Yu-mi, Park Seo-joon, and Choi Woo-shik left Dong-Daegu behind for a seriously upgraded, luxury trip to Namwon!
In the May 10 episode of tvN’s ‘Youth Over Flowers: Limited Edition,’ the trio arrived in Namwon, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province. From traditional Pungmulnori performances to the stunning views of Gwanghanru, they finally got to relax on the second day of their journey.
The episode was a hit, ranking first in its time slot for cable and general programming channels for two consecutive weeks. It recorded a peak viewership of 5.4% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 4.9% nationwide. The 2049 target demographic also peaked at 3.1% in Seoul and 3.0% nationwide.

Since Choi Woo-shik couldn’t stop worrying about his underwear, Jung Yu-mi and Park Seo-joon formed an “underwear expedition” to help him out, starting their “underwear farming” late into the night. They eventually found a pair for 9,900 won, but that was more than all their money combined! This led to a hilarious moment where Choi Woo-shik begged, “I’ll even sell my soul to work hard. Please help me just this once!”
After deciding to buy the underwear with the next day’s allowance, the three brainstormed how to rent a house from one of Park Seo-joon’s acquaintances in Namwon. Even though it was uncertain, they decided to make Namwon their next destination and used their “phone chance” (a limited benefit allowing a 1 minute and 30 second call per night). Luckily, the acquaintance agreed, promising an even more comfortable trip.
The next morning, the group did a “benefit draw” along with their new allowance. The benefits included a phone, a car, or accommodation for one day. However, since the cast already had a place to stay, the production team replaced the accommodation benefit with something more practical: underwear. Park Seo-joon joked, “Woo-shik should pick this. I’d be so annoyed if I was the one to pick underwear,” leaving everyone in stitches.
Fortunately, Choi Woo-shik drew the phone, making navigation and bookings much easier. After saving a lot by staying at an acquaintance’s house, they were thrilled to have 180,000 won left even after booking a premium bus to Namwon and renting a car. Choi Woo-shik even joked, “We’re playing so luxuriously today, I wonder if this will even make the final cut of the show!”

Upon arriving in Namwon, they encountered a Pungmulnori troupe performing Jisin-balgi (a ritual to pray for peace and ward off bad luck). The troupe performed once more for the trio, who warmly gave a small payment in gratitude.
At Gwanghanru, a funny moment occurred when Jung Yu-mi accidentally fell over while pushing Choi Woo-shik on a swing. She laughed it off, saying, “Usually, if it hurts, you go ‘Ah!’ and cry, but I just started laughing like crazy,” showing off her natural variety show skills.
While Jung Yu-mi marveled at the trip, saying, “It’s such a lucky day. It feels like a scene from a movie,” an unexpected crisis hit. They discovered their accommodation was freezing, even colder inside than outside! Shocked by the chill, the trio eventually raided the production team’s accommodation. Find out how their Namwon trip ends in the next episode of ‘Youth Over Flowers: Limited Edition’ on Sunday, May 17, at 7:40 PM.
