Davichi’s Kang Min-kyung has spoken up to clarify the filming of her latest YouTube video.
Kang Min-kyung recently uploaded a video to her ‘Gyangmingkyung’ channel titled “Lonely Shanghai Trip After 36 Years.”
Following the release, Kang Min-kyung left a comment on May 6, saying, “I’ve been struggling for about 9 years now to capture my vlogs all by myself. I thought people might recognize my effort after nearly a decade, but haha, I guess I still have a long way to go.”
She specifically addressed a scene where she is seen eating alone, filmed from an angle outside the restaurant. Some netizens had misunderstood the shot, questioning who was behind the camera.
Kang Min-kyung explained, “I set up a mini tripod outside the restaurant for this cut because I wanted viewers to feel the same emotions I did. This angle was possible because Shanghai doesn’t have as high a risk of pickpocketing as Europe.”
She added, “The reason I’m leaving such a long explanation is that some people are asking if I brought staff along while calling it a ‘lonely trip.’ If it wasn’t a solo trip, there would be no reason to claim it was.”
