On the 7th, actress Ki Eun-se released an apology statement after becoming the center of controversy regarding issues with her home renovations.
Through her agency, Ki Eun-se stated, “Since the complaints were raised, we have been continuously communicating with nearby residents and coordinating to ensure no further inconveniences occur regarding the move and construction.” She added, “The contractor is also in steady communication with the residents, and we will monitor and manage the process more carefully to prevent any further issues until the construction is complete.”
Ki Eun-se further expressed her apologies, asking for understanding for causing concern.
Previously, a netizen identified as a family member of a Pyeongchang-dong resident posted on an online community, claiming, “Ki Eun-se is moving into my parents’ neighborhood and has been renovating for several months, but construction vehicles have taken over the alley, making it difficult for even one car to pass.”
The netizen also mentioned that construction waste was not being cleaned and dates were being pushed back, questioning, “It seems they are trying to brush off this uncomfortable situation because she is a celebrity. Where does this sense of privilege come from, thinking the sacrifice of neighbors is natural?”
Later, the netizen shared in a follow-up post that they received an apology message from Ki Eun-se’s side, stating, “I hope the construction is completed well with mutual consideration, without any further conflict.”

About two weeks ago, Ki Eun-se became aware of complaints from some residents regarding parking and cleaning during the interior construction of the villa she plans to move into. After this, she apologized to the resident who raised the issue, completed the neighborhood cleaning, and took swift action regarding the traffic inconvenience.
Furthermore, we are currently focusing on maintaining cleanliness by organizing the site and surrounding areas every day.
Since the complaints were raised, we have been continuously communicating with nearby residents and coordinating to ensure no further inconveniences occur regarding the move and construction. Currently, the work is proceeding without any additional complaints.
