Comedian Kim Byung-man has officially apologized for arriving late to the press conference for TV Chosun’s variety show ‘Survival King 2’ on the 20th, which caused a delay in the event.
Kim Byung-man shared his position in an apology letter exclusively obtained by Sports Kyunghyang. He also posted a message on his social media (SNS) on the morning of the 21st to apologize for the situation.
Kim Byung-man explained, “I came up from Jeju on the 19th to attend the ‘Survival King 2’ press conference on the 20th. I prepared for the conference and set out for my morning schedule that day, but I failed to consider the sudden weather change and traffic caused by the rain.”
He apologized, stating, “I was wrong to make the reporters who filled the seats wait.” He added, “I will be more thoughtful and do my absolute best when coordinating my schedule in the future.”
He also asked for interest in the show, saying, “TV Chosun started ‘Survival King’ Season 2 yesterday. All the staff and cast members filmed with great passion in the remote areas of Taiwan. I hope my mistake doesn’t diminish the expectations for the program.”
Kim Byung-man attended the ‘Survival King 2’ press conference held at the TV Chosun Gasan Studio in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, on the 20th. Other attendees included Kim Jong-kook, Yuk Jun-seo, THE BOYZ Younghoon, CP Lee Seung-hoon, and PD Yoon Jong-ho, but the event was delayed by 20 minutes due to Kim Byung-man’s tardiness.
Controversy erupted because Kim Byung-man did not express his apologies at the time. Additionally, he faced criticism as his previous tardiness during the ‘Praying in the Himalayas’ launch ceremony in March was brought back into the spotlight.
‘Survival King 2’ is a global national survival competition where the top survival experts from four countries, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Malaysia, clash for their national pride. It premiered on the 20th.

“Hello, this is Kim Byung-man. I am writing this to apologize for the situation where I was late to the production presentation due to my own negligence.”
