The press conference for TV Chosun’s ‘Survival King 2’ hit a snag before it even began. The schedule was delayed because the show’s symbolic cast member, Kim Byung-man, arrived late to the event.
The ‘Survival King 2’ press conference took place on the morning of the 20th at the TV Chosun studio in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. Attendees included PD Yoon Jong-ho, CP Lee Seung-hoon, Kim Jong-kook, Kim Byung-man, Yuk Jun-seo, and THE BOYZ Younghoon.
The event was scheduled to start at 10 AM. While the press had already arrived and were waiting, an unexpected variable occurred just before the start time. Around 10 AM, an official announced that the start would be delayed as the cast’s arrival was being pushed back.
Kim Byung-man finally arrived after 10 AM and immediately joined the photo session. As a result, the press conference began at 10:15 AM, approximately 15 minutes later than planned.
Kim Jong-kook was the first to appear and greet the press. In contrast, Kim Byung-man entered later and took his seat with a somewhat awkward expression, without offering a specific apology or mentioning the delay. As the face of the program, Kim Byung-man’s tardiness left a lingering sense of disappointment.
Notably, this isn’t the first time. Kim Byung-man also arrived about 15 minutes late to the launch ceremony for ‘Praying from the Himalayas’ back in March. That event was also delayed due to issues including conflicts with the production team.
Meanwhile, ‘Survival King 2’ is the follow-up season to TV Chosun’s survival variety show ‘Survival King,’ produced as a larger-scale global project. It features survival experts from various countries competing in extreme environments like jungles, deserts, and cities. It is scheduled to premiere on the 20th at 10 PM.
