Kim Dong-hyun revealed that the footage of children playing dangerous games on the road was the most shocking he has ever seen on ‘Hidden Eye’.
On the May 11 episode of MBC Every1’s ‘Hidden Eye’ during the ‘Kwon Il-yong’s Crime Rules’ segment, videos of children risking their lives by playing “car-blocking” games left the cast stunned.
A video from March this year in Guangdong, China, showed a car slowing down before a speed bump. However, the speed bump began to move, revealing that it was actually children playing. The cast could not hide their worry, noting how perilous the situation would have been if the driver had not stepped on the brakes.
Another shocking clip from Yunnan, China, showed a 3-year-old child crossing a busy, dangerous road nine times while their mother was momentarily distracted. The child was eventually hit by a car, and the broadcast reported that the child is currently receiving treatment for fractures in both feet.
MC Kim Sung-joo explained, “It is said that dangerous games where children block the path of cars are trending among children in China. Some even block trucks on highways or hide their bodies to surprise drivers.” The show also featured a video of a child hiding inside a box on the road to play a dangerous game.
Han Seung-yeon remarked, “Even for children, there are jokes that are acceptable and those that are not. I wonder if they even realize their behavior is wrong.” Park Ha-sun also expressed concern, asking, “If an accident happens, who will they blame or hold responsible?” Kim Dong-hyun added, “I was truly shocked. Perhaps it is because I am raising children, but this is the most shocking video I have seen on ‘Hidden Eye’. Drivers might think it is okay to run over a box, but the thought of a child being inside that box on the road is just horrific and serious.”
Regarding this, Lee Dae-woo explained, “The Chinese government views the lack of safety awareness among some children as stemming from parental neglect and has strengthened punishment regulations for guardians.” Kim Sung-joo also emphasized the importance of discipline, stating, “The road is not a playground. Behind the dangerous actions of children, there is definitely the responsibility of the guardians who must correct them.”
