Jo Kwon, the 2AM member and musical star, opened up about his honest struggles with dating and marriage. Now in his mid-to-late 30s, he shared the reality of his situation, saying, “I’ve reached the age to get married, but dating isn’t easy.”

On the May 25 episode of the SBS variety show ‘Ani Geunde Jinjja!’, guests Kim Eung-soo, Kim Dong-hyun, and Jo Kwon joined MCs Tak Jae-hoon, Lee Sang-min, Lee Su-ji, and Kai for a hilarious conversation.

During the show, Tak Jae-hoon carefully asked Jo Kwon, “Isn’t it about time you got married?” Jo Kwon laughed and replied, “I’m 38 now. It’s definitely an age where marriage talk comes up.” He candidly admitted, “It’s already been 19 years since my debut, but there are really no women. I’ve tried in my own way, but it just hasn’t worked out,” leaving the audience feeling for him.

Hearing this, Kim Eung-soo stepped in with his signature blunt style. “My wife was the one who came to me,” he shared, adding, “If you want to meet the kind of woman you desire, save up money first. Then, many people will approach you,” sending the set into fits of laughter.
Tak Jae-hoon questioned, “Don’t women these days say they prefer a kind person over money?” to which Kim Eung-soo immediately shot back, “Do you actually believe that? You shouldn’t believe things like that,” triggering more laughter.

Born in 1989, Jo Kwon is 36 this year. Since debuting in 2008 as a member of 2AM, he has been widely loved for his explosive vocals and variety sense, with hits like ‘Can’t Send You Away’, ‘This Song’, and ‘Friend’s Confession’. Beyond variety shows, Jo Kwon has maintained a strong presence on the musical stage, earning recognition for his stable singing and acting in productions such as ‘Hedwig’ and ‘Jamie’.
