Actress Kim Hye-eun appeared as a listener on ‘Kkokkomu,’ showing heartfelt empathy and tears.
On the May 7th episode of SBS’s ‘The Story of the Day That Bites the Tail’ (hereafter ‘Kkokkomu’), Kim Hye-eun joined as a listener for the special episode ‘Finding Long-term Missing Children 2 – Searching for Her,’ leaving viewers deeply moved.
Making her first appearance on ‘Kkokkomu,’ Kim Hye-eun confessed her love for the show, saying, “I really wanted to come on, and I’m finally here.” She shared her excitement, adding, “I truly love ‘Kkokkomu.’ It’s a program I learn so much from every time I watch it.”
This special focused on the case of Song Hye-hee, who went missing in Pyeongtaek in 1999. When it was mentioned that similar incidents occurred consecutively in the same location, Kim Hye-eun expressed her sadness and offered a sharp analysis, noting, “Wasn’t the movie ‘Memories of Murder’ also a story that took place on a single road?”
Kim Hye-eun burst into tears as the story of a father who spent 25 long years searching the entire country for his daughter was revealed. Deeply empathizing with a parent’s heart, she said, “I think I would have been like that father. When something happens to a child, don’t parents feel it’s all their own fault?” bringing tears to the eyes of those watching.
Kim Hye-eun was touched to hear that Lee Sang-min and Solbi had also helped in the search for missing children, saying, “I’m glad there are people participating with their hearts.” When AI-restored images showing the estimated current appearances of the missing children were revealed, she expressed her desperate wish, “I really hope they appear now,” while encouraging social interest in long-term missing children.
After successfully completing the play ‘Then and Today 2: Flower Shoes’ in February, Kim Hye-eun is currently awaiting the release of a Netflix original series.
