Singer Kim Jang-hoon warmed hearts by offering sincere advice to minors who asked him to run a cigarette errand for them.
Recently, a video titled “What if a high schooler makes Kim Jang-hoon a cigarette shuttle?” was released on the YouTube channel ‘Gonarija’. The production team set up a hidden camera prank where actors playing high school students approached Kim Jang-hoon, pretending to be fans, and asked him to buy cigarettes for them.

After greeting the students warmly, Kim Jang-hoon showed his friendly side, saying, “Shall we take a photo? I don’t care about portrait rights. Feel free to post it.” However, when the students cautiously asked him to buy cigarettes, he burst into laughter in bewilderment and asked, “Give me the money. What kind of cigarettes do you smoke?”

As the students tried to hand him a card, Kim Jang-hoon was baffled, exclaiming, “I’ve lived a long time, but really!” He quickly suggested, “You said you were going to eat, right? Let’s go eat first.” He then shared his own story, revealing, “I started smoking in the 9th grade. I’ve quit now, but it’s really better to quit.”

He continued his sincere advice, saying, “Cigarettes smell a lot and are bad for your health. I smoked for 45 years before quitting.” He added, “If you don’t quit now, it’ll be uncomfortable when you meet people later, and you’ll eventually regret it.”

Kim Jang-hoon firmly refused to buy the cigarettes, noting, “Buying cigarettes for minors is a legal issue. I’ll be in trouble, and it’s dangerous for you too.” He concluded with a heartfelt message: “Whether you quit or not is your choice, but I hope you at least try to quit.”
As passing citizens joined the conversation, the production team finally stepped in to reveal it was a prank. After learning the truth, Kim Jang-hoon honestly shared his feelings, saying, “I understood how the students felt. I was conflicted because I didn’t want to just send them away, but I couldn’t buy the cigarettes for them either.”
