TV CHOSUN’s ‘Survival King 2’ is drawing huge attention after revealing its lineup of elite survivalists from four different countries.
‘Survival King 2’ is a global expansion of the hit survival show ‘Survival King’ from last year. In this global jungle survival competition, elite survivalists from four Asian countries will tackle extreme missions across jungles, deserts, and cities to determine the ultimate survival team in Asia. MC Kim Jong Kook joins the cast to bring the intense competition to life.
Leading ‘Team Kim Byung Man’ for Korea is the original ‘Survival King’ himself, Kim Byung Man, who has navigated jungles for 16 years. Joining him are ‘Ace’ Yuk Jun Seo, a former Navy UDT member with incredible physical strength and natural athletic ability, and THE BOYZ Younghoon, the ‘Jungle Boy’ who hides a fierce competitive streak behind his handsome visuals.
The production team stated that MC Kim Jong Kook was chosen as the perfect fit to anchor the show and vividly deliver the intensity of the global competition, thanks to his global recognition and physical prowess. They described Kim Byung Man as the “absolute benchmark” that all other Asian competitors must overcome with his unrivaled wilderness know-how. They added that Yuk Jun Seo, with the strength and mental fortitude of a UDT member, is a next-generation ‘Survival King’ who will showcase the essence of ‘steel survival’ in extreme missions. Meanwhile, Younghoon was selected as a hidden card, bringing a combination of solid physicals, a competitive spirit, and the focus he previously demonstrated in events like the Idol Star Athletics Championships archery.
‘Survival King 2’ will premiere on the 20th at 10 PM and will also be available on Netflix.
