It has come to light that an apartment owned by actress Kim Sa-rang has been seized by tax authorities.
According to a report by Sunday Newspaper i on the 15th, an apartment in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do, under Kim Sa-rang’s name was seized by the Samsung Tax Office on the 6th of last month due to national tax arrears.
While Kim Sa-rang also owns an apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, reports indicate that only the Gimpo property was seized.
The official government price of the apartment was 366 million won as of January 2026, with a recent market value of approximately 600 million won.
The Samsung Tax Office stated that they cannot confirm the specific reasons or the amount of the arrears due to the Personal Information Protection Act.
In cases where real estate is seized due to tax arrears, the seizure can be lifted once the full amount is paid. Otherwise, the property may eventually go to public auction.
Meanwhile, Kim Sa-rang has not appeared in any works for five years since the TV Chosun drama ‘Revenge’ ended in 2021. However, she continues to communicate with fans through her YouTube channel and revealed her home for the first time this past March.
