Entertainer Kim Shin-young got a bit emotional after being teased about the yo-yo effect!
In the May 2nd episode of JTBC’s ‘Knowing Bros’, Soyou, Sandeul, Lee Gi-kwang, and Sung Han-bin transferred to the school for a special “Idol Main Dancer vs. Main Vocal” episode.
During the show, the members teased Kim Shin-young about her recent weight gain, asking the guests, “You guys don’t know about the ‘returned’ Shin-young, right?” Kim Shin-young jokingly reacted by saying, “I’m going home!” When Sung Han-bin, confused, asked, “Where did you go?”, she wittily replied that she had just taken a short trip to the “land of 44kg,” sparking laughter.
Soyou admitted, “I actually ordered spicy braised chicken after watching Shin-young’s mukbang recently.” Kim Shin-young added, “I ate seaweed soup and glass noodles on a show about living alone. Now my nickname has changed to ‘Charlie and the Glass Noodle Factory.’ People even say I look like an Oompa Loompa!”
Meanwhile, JTBC announced on April 29 that comedian Kim Shin-young has joined ‘Knowing Bros’ as a fixed member, making her the first female fixed member since the show premiered in 2015. On the other hand, fixed member Kim Heechul announced a temporary hiatus for health reasons.
Kim Shin-young previously made headlines for losing about 44kg and maintaining her weight for 13 years, but she recently became a hot topic again after sharing that she experienced a yo-yo effect.
