With the trot fever still going strong in the music market, a new index that measures the actual influence of trot singers is making waves! Based on over 12,000 online data points per month, this index is being praised for its high reliability. Since there isn’t a dedicated professional trot chart, the industry expects this influence index to be a great way to track the latest trends in the trot market.
Comwithus, the operator of the fandom platform ‘Stardom’, announced the KSI (K STAR INDEX) Trot Influence Index on April 1.
The KSI Trot Influence Index uses AI to analyze 12 million online data points monthly. It calculates a comprehensive ranking based on six composite indices: Content, Interest, Topic, Growth, a “Good Deed” index (measuring social contribution), and a “Support” index (based on fan voting). Comwithus releases this as a monthly ‘KSI Report’, featuring the top 20 rankings for both men and women, the results for each of the six indices, and the rank changes from the previous month.
In the recently released April KSI Trot Influence Index, Kim Yong-bin claimed the top spot in the male category with 90.3 points. Kim Yong-bin soared 7 places from the previous month to reach the summit, recording perfect scores in both the Support and Good Deed indices. The gap between him and second place, Park Seo-jin (90.1 points), was a tiny 0.2 points. Meanwhile, last month’s first-place Lee Chan-won dropped to 4th, and Young Tak fell 9 spots to 11th.
Son Tae-jin entered the top 3 overall (78.6 points), taking the lead in a single category with a perfect score (100) in the Content index. Kang Moon-kyung and Park Ji-hyun took 5th and 6th place, respectively. Following them, Hwang Young-woong, Shin Seung-tae, Jin Hae-sung, and Enoch filled the 7th to 10th spots.

For April 2026, Hong Ji-yoon took 1st place in the female category with 84.2 points. Hong Ji-yoon maintained her top position by scoring over 90 points in four categories: Content, Interest, Topic, and Good Deed. Kim Da-hyun jumped 3 spots to reach 2nd place (80.1 points), while last month’s leader Song Ga-in slipped to 6th. Rookie Lee So-na climbed 10 spots to enter 5th place, earning a perfect score in the Growth index.
Jeon Yu-jin made a strong move with 80 points in the Support index, ranking 3rd overall with 79.6 points. Oh Yu-jin took 4th, and Hong Seong-yoon took 7th. Rounding out the top 10 were Jung Seo-ju, Kim Tae-yeon, and Heo Chan-mi.
