On the 12th, a video titled “Human Chanel Ko So-young’s dressing room revealed for the first time in 35 years since debut” was uploaded to her YouTube channel ‘Ko So-young’.
For the first time since her debut, Ko So-young opened up her dressing room, showing off her natural and friendly charm.
She shared, “In the past, I had everything neatly on hangers, but I hated how it looked. I didn’t like the clothes being exposed, so I got wardrobes, but they only fit half of my stuff,” adding that she eventually had custom cabinets built.
While introducing her Chanel bags from the 90s, she noted, “They cost about 2 million won back then, but bags are way too expensive these days. I love things that are old and have a history.” She also caught attention by showing bags gifted by her mother and aunt in the 80s, mentioning, “I’ll sell some and give some to my daughter.”
The YouTube PD was amazed, commenting that Chanel bags were “rolling around” and “stuffed in,” though Ko So-young denied it, insisting they were “carefully kept.”
Ko So-young also revealed her Hermes Birkin bags. “I bought one around 1996 for 5 million won at a department store in Korea,” she said. She added, “It wasn’t that hard to find back then. Now, you have to buy things you don’t even need just to get a bag, so I stopped going for a while.” She then shocked everyone by revealing, “I have more than ten Birkin bags.”
She also showed an Hermes bag gifted by her husband, Jang Dong-gun. “He bought it relatively recently and buys me things often. We aren’t the type to go to the department store together when he says ‘I’ll buy you a bag’; instead, I buy it first and then ask him for the money.”
