Koo Kyo-hwan Finally Debuts as Director in 'Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness' as Ratings Hit New Peak!

Episode 8 of the JTBC Saturday-Sunday drama Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness, which aired on the 10th, recorded a viewership rating of 3.9% according to Nielsen Korea. This is a 1.3% increase from the previous episode, marking a new personal best for the series!

The 8th episode featured Hwang Dong-man’s (Koo Kyo-hwan) desperate struggle for survival and a sharp critique of the film industry from production company CEO Go Hye-jin (Kang Mal-geum). In a thrilling twist, Go Hye-jin made the bold decision to let Hwang Dong-man debut as a movie director.

Hwang Dong-man (Koo Kyo-hwan) raced through a heavy snowfall, and although his car overturned in -20 degree weather, he fought desperately to keep his promise to Byeon Eun-ah. His burning desire to become a director was evident as he pushed through the ordeal.

While the walls of reality were high, an opportunity arose when Go Hye-jin reflected on her original intentions. Choosing the sincerity and power of a script that made her smile over mere capital, she decided to cut ties with Choi Dong-hyun (Choi Won-young). She then surprised Hwang Dong-man, who was still critiquing other people’s movies at their hideout, by announcing she would produce I’ll Make the Weather for You.

Go Hye-jin warned him to experience the harsh reality of the field, saying, “Get in the ring and get beaten up. You can’t run away.” With the support of the talented Byeon Eun-ah, who called I’ll Make the Weather for You the best script she’s read this year, and the charismatic producer Go Hye-jin, fans are eagerly anticipating Hwang Dong-man’s journey.

Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM on JTBC.
