Actor Koo Kyo-hwan has opened up about his personal philosophy on charm and his unique travel style.
On May 6, a video featuring actor Koo Kyo-hwan as a guest was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Yoo In Radio’. In the video titled “This channel is mine now (feat. Koo Kyo-hwan’s March) | Koo Kyo-hwan,” he shared a variety of stories with Yoo In-na in a relaxed atmosphere.
During the episode, Yoo In-na prepared several questions to get to know Koo Kyo-hwan better. When asked what he considers his own charm to be, Koo Kyo-hwan pondered for a moment before answering, “I think my charm is that I don’t try to figure out what my charm is.” He further explained, “I intentionally try not to look too deeply into myself. I’m the type of person who gets stiff if I’m too conscious of something. I think not having a specific intention is where my charm lies.”
The conversation then turned to favorite nicknames. Koo Kyo-hwan mentioned “Koo Kyo,” which fans often call him, but then wondered if that was “too easy.” He revealed that his uncle used to call him “Ban” when he was young. “I don’t know why, but my uncle called me Koo Ban,” he shared, to which Yoo In-na responded, “I like that. It feels like being someone’s other half.”

His travel style also caught plenty of attention. When asked about a must-have item for trips, Koo Kyo-hwan picked a “power strip.” His simple answer, “Because I need to charge my devices,” sparked laughter. He added, “I usually travel with just a light backpack. I love visiting vintage shops at my destination to buy things I need. I treat traveling as a form of shopping.”
As for the one item he would hate to lose the most, he chose his laptop. He explained, “All my work is in there,” noting that he always carries it with him.

Toward the end of the video, Koo Kyo-hwan gave some heartfelt praise to Yoo In-na. When she asked him to name one thing he envies about her, he replied, “I think you’re an incredibly flexible actress,” adding, “I really want to act with you someday.” He described her acting as “feeling faithful to the scene while being great at adding variations,” and honestly noted, “I feel like you’d be able to match whatever action I take.”
